About Old Age Home

A Sanctuary for the Elderly

In 2012, Muskan Sansthan took a significant step towards supporting the elderly by establishing an Old Age Home in the tribal belt of southern Rajasthan. This region faces severe economic challenges, with no industries and limited agricultural opportunities due to the hilly and stony terrain. As a result, many people migrate in search of work, often leaving their elderly parents behind with no one to care for them. In addition, the shift towards nuclear families and the younger generation’s reluctance to live with extended family has left many older adults isolated and vulnerable.

Muskan Sansthan’s Old Age Home currently serves 50 elderly individuals, providing them with food, shelter, healthcare, and emotional support. For these residents, Muskan Sansthan has become their family, offering a safe and caring environment where they can live with dignity. The organization ensures that the elderly not only receive the essentials of life but also experience a sense of belonging and community. Our team is dedicated to making sure they live their remaining years with comfort and care, filling the void left by the absence of their families.

Over the years, Muskan Sansthan has also taken on the responsibility of providing a dignified farewell to those who have passed away in our care, having conducted cremations for more than 25 elderly residents. We honor their lives and ensure they leave this world with respect and compassion, reflecting our deep commitment to serving the most vulnerable members of society.
